Hollie Callaway, PhD

I am a licensed psychologist and have worked with youth and adults in various settings throughout my career. I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Dakota and moved to Logan, Utah to continue my studies at Utah State University. During my graduate career, my clinical interests focused on assessing and treating Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, learning disability evaluation, parent training, parent-child interaction therapy, and treating depression and anxiety. I earned a Master of Science degree with an emphasis in Clinical Child/School Psychology from USU in 2004. I went on to complete a pre-doctoral internal in Clinical Psychology at Geisinger Medical Center from 2004-2005, and ultimately, obtained my PhD in Psychology from USU.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various settings, including schools, community mental health centers, private practice, hospitals, juvenile detention centers, and most recently, residential treatment centers. I was a body image therapist for young girls and women struggling with eating disorders and body image issues for several years. I have become a certified Equine Assisted psychotherapist and have also obtained training in EMDR, which has proven useful in my work with trauma patients. More recently, I have had the pleasure of supervising doctoral students in the Psychology program at Utah State University who are completing a practicum and seeing clients at the Community Clinic.

I have experience treating a wide variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, personality disorders, eating disorders, attachment issues, and pervasive developmental disorders. My approach to treating mental health issues incorporates multiple modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, systemic family therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I am passionate about helping and empowering others to be the best that they can be socially, emotionally, and even physically.
