ABOUT LAURA PARRY, LCSW

Laura is a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for helping people navigate life’s transitions. Her undergraduate degree is in social work from Brigham Young University, and she earned a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Utah. She has worked with sexual abuse survivors, cancer patients and their families, and children and adults in long term and acute care medical settings. Her training includes treatment for mood disorders during pregnancy and postpartum, and she enjoys working with mothers overcoming anxiety and depression. Being a mother herself she recognizes what a vulnerable time pregnancy and postpartum can be for women, especially when dealing with mood issues. Laura has also received training in sexual health and is supervised by a Certified Sex Therapist. She is passionate about helping women experiencing sexual issues.

She runs In the Meantime, a group for faith doubt, faith crisis, or faith transition. The group provides a safe community to explore faith issues. Laura realizes this life disruption can lead to anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and more, and honors each individual along their unique path.

While using psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and emotionally focused techniques, she helps empower clients to deal with whatever challenges they are facing. Laura provides a calm and peaceful space to help you explore what is holding you back in a new light, and overcome your problems.
