I specialize in treating adults experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy and birth trauma, relationship distress, PTSD, and sex and intimacy concerns. I help individuals and couples by exploring the root of their distress and working to relieve those most impactful, urgent symptoms. I am a therapist who is grounded, open and warm. I value integrating my clients’ spirituality into our work.

Pregnancy and childbirth are pivotal moments in a woman’s life. Sometimes, these experiences don’t go as planned, leading to feelings of deep pain and sorrow. With over 40 hours of specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, I help women heal from these traumas using experiential, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral techniques tailored for each client’s unique experience.

Support for mothers shouldn’t end after the first weeks postpartum. Often, motherhood can stir old hurts if we didn’t receive the support, love and tenderness we needed in our own childhoods. Using experiential and cognitive-behavioral therapies, we will work to integrate these past experiences with the present in order to move forward.

I approach my work with couples from an Emotionally Focused Therapy perspective. Together, we will uncover unhelpful cycles of interaction and create new ways to connect. With advanced training and experience in treating trauma, sex and intimacy issues, I bring a comprehensive skill set to my work with couples.

I received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. My other work includes advocacy and counseling services for individuals and families experiencing domestic violence.
