Trauma

How do you know if you’ve experienced trauma?

Trauma can have a profound impact on a person’s mental health and well-being. It can come in many different forms, such as physical abuse, sexual assault, natural disasters, and accidents. Trauma can also be experienced in less obvious ways, such as the loss of a job, the ending of a relationship, betrayal, bullying, serious medical issues, a difficult birth, miscarriage, and more. We believe that trauma is in the eye of the beholder and it is something that happens in the body.

If you find yourself feeling stuck in the past without a way to move forward, you may benefit from therapy. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can work through their trauma and regain a sense of control and peace in their lives.

The Healing Group is a trauma-informed clinic.

Our counseling approach is centered on empathy, validation, and empowerment. We understand that trauma can be a difficult and overwhelming experience, and we are here to help you navigate through it at your own pace. Our trained clinicians are skilled in a range of evidence-based therapies and techniques, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

  • mindfulness-based approaches.

During your counseling sessions we will work with you to identify your unique needs and goals and develop a personalized treatment plan to address your concerns. We will help you understand how trauma has affected your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and teach you coping strategies to manage your symptoms in addition to resolving and integrating the past.

At The Healing Group, we prioritize confidentiality and privacy. Our therapists are committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space for you to share your experiences and feelings. We recognize that each person’s experience of trauma is unique, and we approach each session with an open mind and a compassionate heart.

If you or a loved one has experienced trauma and is seeking mental health support, we encourage you to reach out to us. We believe that everyone deserves to live a life free from the burdens of trauma, and we are here to support you on your path to healing.
