Dump your "monkey mind"!

Is your mind filled with drunken monkeys? ⁣ Buddha thought so!⁣

Buddha taught that humans have a “monkey mind”- confused, chaotic, jumpy, untamed and out of control- like drunken monkeys. ⁣ Learning to settle them was part of achieving peace.⁣

When we are anxious and stressed, it is common for us to have a hard time sleeping. This happened to me the other day, my mind could not relax at night, I had a really hard time sleeping! ⁣
I tossed and turned.⁣
I worried and fretted. ⁣
All. Night. Long.⁣

If I had just gotten up and done this Monkey Mind Tamer, things might have gone better. It is helpful to have coping strategies in place for times when our mind monkeys get out of control, you an use this printable exercise anytime you need a little extra help settling those anxious thoughts down.
